Governance of Micah Global is undertaken by a Board of Trustees.
Trustees are nominated / selected from the membership, representing the regions from around the world.
Christine MacMillan - Chairperson
An inspiring and effective advocate of social justice for all, Commissioner Christine MacMillan has been a Salvation Army officer holding appointments in five countries: Canada and Bermuda, Australia, England, Papua New Guinea and USA. This included the role of denominational leader (territorial commander) for the Canada & Bermuda and Papua New Guinea territories. Trained and accredited as a counsellor, Christine has founded various centers and programs in the field of addictions, domestic violence and homelessness. As founding director of the Salvation Army International Social Justice Commission, Christine promotes research as a pivotal approach in addressing social issues with a participative input of those who experience the challenges of humanitarian inequities.
Rolando Perez
Rolando Perez is a professor and researcher at Pontifical Catholic University of Peru. His research focus includes Media, religion and social change. He is the director of the Training and Research Center of Peace and Hope Association (Instituto Paz y Esperanza) based on Peru. He is also a member of the Latin-American Theological Fellowship (FTL) and the World Association for Christian Communication (WACC).
Susan Nyaga-Anzuruni
Susan Nyaga-Anzuruni is currently serving as a Senior Literacy & Education Consultant for Anglo-Lusophone Africa with SIL International. Susan’s role entails providing external consultancy services to organizations seeking to tap into SIL’s language expertise for their own programs. Such services include curriculum reviews, early grade reading strategy and materials development, teacher training and advocacy. With experience spanning over 20 years, Susan has been privileged to work on projects in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania and South Sudan. She is currently the lead consultant for the Literacy for Women in Africa project in Kenya and Tanzania, in partnership with the Bible societies in the two countries. Besides her role with SIL, Susan is a Research Associate with Stellenbosch University in South Africa where she did her doctorate. She is also a member of several professional bodies and communities of practice. Susan is passionate about wholistic development that expands the possibilities for a better life for everyone (educationally, economically, spiritually and socially).
Alia Abboud
Alia grew up in Sierra Leone until her teenage years. She joined World Vision in Lebanon in 1990 where she served as communications officer and operations manager. In 2003, Alia joined the Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development (LSESD), a faith-based organization that seeks, through an integrated holistic approach, to empower the Church and serve the local community. Alia, who serves as LSESD’s Director for Development and Partner Relations, has an MBA in NGO Leadership from Eastern University, a Master’s in Sociology from the Lebanese University, and a DBA from The Robert Gordon University.
Ruth Velerio
Ruth is Tearfund’s Global Advocacy and Influencing Director. Her group mobilises churches around the world to tackle poverty and injustice by pushing for change at a governmental and institutional level. The Media Team and Global Volunteering Team also sit within the group, as does the vital theological work that underpins everything Tearfund does. She was previously Churches and Theology Director at A Rocha UK and she launched the Eco Church scheme. An in-demand speaker and author, Ruth lives in Chichester with her family, where she is a member of Revelation Church.
Erika Izquierdo
Erika was raised in the Rainforest of Peru, just a block away from the most plentiful river in the world, the Amazon. She studied Dentistry with emphasis in Primary Health and also majored in Bible Science. From the time she was a student she was involved with the Movement of Evangelical University Students, with the particular concentration in mission–individual and structural transformation. Erika has devoting her time in the training area of Human Rights and Struggling against the Poverty and has participated in several efforts of the Civil Society; Wide Youth Network (Interquorum), and through the citizen movement Transparencia, and helped to form the National Youth Board in Peru (CONAJU).
David Boul
David worked in the international energy industry until 1995. Now he is a trustee of charities working with the disadvantaged in his locality and UK; he also chairs a software company. With integral mission a passion, David has been a volunteer with Micah from its earliest days as treasurer and secretary. David has an MA and DPhil from Oxford University. He is married to Sue, and they have eleven grandchildren by his son and daughter.
Gil Odendaal
Gil’s passion is to serve the least, the lost and the last and all he does works towards that end. Gil Odendaal Consultancy, LLC functions to capacitate leaders, churches and Christian NGOs for effective Global South – Global North partnerships. The desired outcome is indigenous support development for wholistic kingdom work in difficult and fragile regions. As managing principal of this missional entrepreneurial agency, Gil is passionate about supporting, researching and creating initiatives for organizations seeking integral solutions for effective work within the emerging paradigms of Global South – Global North collaborations.
Eu-Lee Chng
Sami DiPasquale
Sami lives with his family on the U.S.-Mexico border in El Paso, Texas where he serves as the executive director of Abara. Sami was born and raised in the Middle East, and has spent the last nineteen years immersed in refugee and immigrant communities in the United States – in Chicago with World Relief and then in a beautiful immigrant community in El Paso working at Ciudad Nueva in community development with youth and families who have recently arrived from Mexico. Sami recently started a new initiative, Abara, which seeks to cultivate space for people to move in humility across divides, provide border education experiences and support migrant shelters for asylum seekers on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border.

Deborah Hancox
Since 2003, Deborah has worked exclusively within the Christian development sector having been involved with over 150 different Christian development organisations, alliances, networks, academic institutions, and local churches. As one of Deborah’s references noted – she is ‘passionate for God’s Kingdom to come’ and has thus dedicated her life to being involved with work that touches the lives of people facing the challenges of poverty, injustice, and marginalisation. Deborah has a deep lived involvement with Integral Mission, as well as extensive experience in various leadership and facilitation roles. Deborah has experience in network leadership, applied theological foundation, fundraising, cross cultural work, teaching and facilitation skills and has completed a PhD focused on bringing theology and development together. Deborah believes that God is inviting his people into a season of greater global unity and collaboration, one in which the diversity, experience and commitment of the Micah members will have a key contribution to make, and she is excited to be a part of this.
Janet Lubbe
Originally from Zimbabwe, Janet trained and worked as a Personal Secretary/Bookkeeper before attending Bible College in South Africa, where she was exposed to the importance of missions. She then worked for Scripture Union in Cape Town, a Christian Conference Centre in the UK and an interdenominational church in Johannesburg. After getting married, Janet and her husband moved to the Western Cape where they currently live in the town of Somerset West with their two daughters.
Linda Martindale
Linda is excited to be a part of a global organisation that encapsulates so much of what is important to her. A journalist, writer and editor by profession, Linda worked for more than a decade with The Warehouse in Cape Town, South Africa in the area of writing, communications and advocacy. She has freelanced for various organisations and publications in different countries mainly in sub-Saharan Africa during her time as a writer. She is eager to be part of seeing the ‘kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven’ and connecting with others who join with God in the work to see the end of suffering, poverty, division and injustice. “Micah 6:8 has been a bit of a life-purpose scripture in my life story, so it feels like a privilege to work for an organisation whose very DNA is about seeing that lived out by believers.”
