Accessible Hope International Celebrates 17 Years of Gospel-Centered Disability Inclusion
On June 1, Accessible Hope International (AHI) celebrates 17 years of ministry—17 years of walking alongside people with disabilities to ensure they are seen, valued, and included in both community and church life—and have the opportunity to thrive as their needs are met and their God-given worth is affirmed.
Globally, people with disabilities remain among the most marginalized, particularly in low-resource settings
where stigma, poverty, and lack of access often intersect. For many, exclusion is not only social and economic, but spiritual. Accessible Hope International was founded in response to this gap—with a vision to share a wholistic Gospel that speaks to both physical realities and eternal hope.
Since its founding, AHI has served people with disabilities through community-based programs that address the practical barriers they face. Women with disabilities are gaining access to discipleship, health and wellness education, and economic opportunities, which helps restore their dignity and provides them with purpose and community. As well, children with disabilities are accessing education and therapeutic services, affirming their value and providing for their wholistic needs.
In addition to this community-based work, AHI partners with ministry leaders across the Majority World to equip churches and communities, providing a Biblical framework for the loving inclusion of people with disabilities. Through training in disability theology and practical inclusion, churches are becoming places where all people are welcomed as full participants in the body of Christ.
At the heart of this work is a simple but powerful belief: every person is created in the image of God and has inherent worth and purpose.
Over the past 17 years, this vision has taken root in tangible ways—through lives changed, communities
transformed, and churches mobilized to reflect the inclusive love of Christ.
As Accessible Hope International looks ahead, the need remains great—but so does the opportunity. The
organization continues to be a catalyst for transformational change at the grassroots level and on the global
stage, expanding its reach, deepening partnerships, and equipping the global Church in this redemptive work.
This anniversary marks not just a milestone, but a continued call: to build a world where people with disabilities are living hope-filled lives as full and valued members of their communities.
